Children at school with laptops

Schools are becoming more and more digital

Social Commitment

Project summary

The year 2020 confronted us all with new challenges. Especially in the field of education, strict measures had to be implemented to sustain learning on site. In addition to wearing protective masks and regularly airing classrooms, further measures had to be taken for teachers and students.

Some classrooms are clearly too small to comply with the applicable spacing rules. Therefore, some classes have to be divided among several rooms. Conversely, this means that teachers would have to teach in several rooms at the same time.

The Wilhelm Stedler School from Barsinghausen utilizes hourly computer lessons, allowing all children to participate in classes online and providing relief to the teachers. This simplifies lesson planning enormously and is also fun for the first to fourth graders. In addition to the regular lessons, the 4th graders also have the opportunity to participate in a one-hour computer club.

With the help of donations from deister electronic GmbH and other sponsors, the Wilhelm Stedler School was able to purchase 13 more laptops for teaching.
