LED indicators clearly display the access status, even for users with colour blindness. The access readers have a replaceable cover. In addition to established reader technologies such as MIFARE® Classic and MIFARE® DESFire, the readers also support Bluetooth® and NFC™. Thanks to the open Triple Technology™ interface, the readers are future-proof and can be adapted to existing or new technologies.

The keypad readers feature a high-quality keypad with backlit keys and are available in three designs. The separately arranged LEDs clearly indicate the status to the user, and the keypad provides haptic, visual and audible feedback. The reader’s LEDs clearly indicate the status to the user. The keypad provides additional tactile, visual and audible feedback.  Even users with red-green colour blindness can recognise the reader’s status based on the LED positions. The replaceable cover ensures the reader always looks as good as new.

Like the PRx access readers, the KPx keypad readers also feature an open interface (Triple Technology^TM) to allow for the retrofitting of existing or future technologies.

The BPx 16 is a combined fingerprint/RFID reader that verifies the user through fingerprint identification. It is typically used in access control systems on doors with higher security requirements. The BPx 16 integrates an optical CMOS fingerprint sensor and a replaceable RFID reader, supporting various RFID reading technologies. The fingerprint templates are not stored in the device's memory but exclusively on the user's identification medium. No additional software is required for managing users and fingerprints; management can be performed solely via control cards. The BPx 16 supports all common protocols and can be connected to a controller like a conventional reader.

The QRO 8 is an innovative optical code reader that supports all common formats, such as QR codes, Data Matrix, barcodes, and 1D and 2D codes. The camera-based recognition works reliably on both paper and digital displays. In the dark, an integrated motion sensor automatically activates the lighting to ensure optimum readability. The SRL 1 is a high-performance RFID reader for server cabinets, featuring advanced locking technology. When combined with the Southco H3-EM-70000 swivel latch, it ensures the highest level of security through smart access control and flexible application options. The system prevents unauthorised physical access to critical IT infrastructure and provides audit logs for tracking access. The SRL 1 supports all common transponder technologies and frequencies. In addition to traditional identification media, users can also use mobile devices with Google Wallet or Apple Wallet as proof of authorisation. The integrated door and lock monitoring system provides real-time alerts in the event of unauthorised access attempts. An optional temperature sensor also enables the detection of unauthorised operating conditions within the server cabinet.

The cipherBox® enables existing access control systems to be cost-effectively upgraded to secure RFID card technology – without having to replace existing controllers or software.

The SCB 2/5 is installed in the secure area between the access reader and the controller. It decrypts the data from secure identification media and translates it for the existing controller. This allows the existing infrastructure to continue to be used whilst simultaneously increasing the system’s security level.
