Project summary

Heritage Ukraine

Heritage Ukraine was founded and registered in January of 2007. At the beginning we visited an orphanage once a month and our first summer camp was held in a village with less than 50 children and 11 volunteers. Over the years God has blessed us and grown this ministry little by little as we desired to serve Him and His children.

The ministry has evolved from a trip once a month to teams that visit 18 orphanages every month, Camp LELA now hosts more than 1,000 children every summer, and over 400 volunteers are involved each year in a variety of different projects.

Heritage Ukraine has broadened it's ministry over the years to include work with children from troubled homes, children with special needs, refugees, graduates of the orphanage, families in Ukraine that have adopted and/or are fostering children, and meeting the needs of the older generation.

In 2015, God blessed us with property that allowed us to see our dreams come to fruition as we opened a day center for children from troubled homes. This place is also the home to the offices of Heritage Ukraine, Camp LELA, the JAM (Jesus and Me) Day Center, and the JOY! Center for children with disabilities.

Heritage Ukraine has been active for over ten years and the Lord continues to open the doors for many opportunities to spread the Word of God among orphans, troubled children, children with special needs, adults, and refugees in Odessa and the surrounding area.

And according to our ministry growth we've got a need to get a vehicle to be able to handle all the projects we have now. We prayed about it and asked our friends and brother in Christ to help us to find a vehicle for our ministry. God was so amazing as some people and churches had responded to our need. We want to thank all those who helped us and Deister Electronic, who also supported us in a time of need.
