proxSafe maxx increases security in the district hospital Haar (near Munich)

In the district hospital Haar near Munich mentally ill offenders are cared for in forensic psychiatry. In specially secured admission and treatment stations 120 patients are treated at six stations. Formerly keys were issued directly by the staff. For maximum safety however, the key management was to be realised automatically and without the possibility of manipulation. The issuing and returning of the keys should be logged and all procedures should be verifiable. Exactly these requirements are found with the automatic proxSafe key management of deister electronic. The district hospital opted for a proxSafe maxx 32 Cabinet with 32 usable slots, including C3 terminal and Commander 3 software. The existing 125 kHz access control to identify the employees has been integrated, thus there was no need for new RFID cards. Now the key issue and return is possible around the clock. The usage of the proxSafe maxx is very easy. The respective key slot lights up and the user is navigated to the desired key ring. Administrated effort is minimised, operation costs are reduced and safety increased.
